Looks like you have an installation problem.

Where did you install LP from?

  -o, --output=FILE                   write output to FILE (suffix will be

      --relocate                      relocate using directory of lilypond 
program
  -s, --silent                        no progress, only error messages 
(equivalent to loglevel=ERROR)
  -v, --version                       show version number and exit
  -V, --verbose                       be verbose (equivalent to loglevel=DEBUG)
  -w, --warranty                      show warranty and copyright

Update LilyPond input to newer version.  By default, update from the
version taken from the \version command, to the current LilyPond version.
If FILE is `-', read from standard input.

Options:
       --version        show version number and exit
   -h, --help           show this help and exit

   -t, --to=VERSION     convert to VERSION [default: 2.19.33]
   -b, --backup-numbered
                        make a numbered backup [default: filename.ext~]
   -w, --warranty       show warranty and copyright
