I would like that too, but Frescobaldi's policy is rather
LilyPond-centric instead of aiming at becoming a multipurpose editing
environment à la jEdit.
But reconsidering this: providing some templating mechanism to simplify
the creation of mixed text/music documents might be something Wilbert
would find acceptable to integrate - and that I'd find interesting
working on.

BTW:
It was only mentioned in the other thread: Did you check out my
lilyglyphs and musicexamples packages? The latter is not ready and
therefore only available on Github (and not on CTAN) but I think it is
promising - if I should find the time and motivation (or contributors)
to continue with it.
