When I ask for a reason why one would _not_ use documented best
practices (which by the way required days of work to implement and
test), chances are that my last contribution will not end up being
enthused. Why wouldn't we want to have best practices pointed out and
promoted on the user list?

I have yet to see a reason for not using convert-ly when upgrading
LilyPond that _does_ make any sense.
