Hi, sorry I thought I had replied to Abraham about my pdf not compiling, but didn't.

The pdf wasn't in a seperated window, and when i tried re-comppiling the input file, the pdf still wasn't compiling.

This is all I get:

Starting lilypond 2.22.2 [01troparion agk4.ly]...

Processing `/home/thedoctor81877/Documents/liturgical music/02 octoechos/tone01/01troparion agk4.ly'

Parsing...

Interpreting music...

MIDI output to `01troparion agk4.midi'...

Success: compilation successfully completed

Completed successfully in 0.4".

I am not sure where to go from here.

Thanks,

Michael D

I have a lilypond file, and I changed the title and subtitle and recompiled using Frescobaldi; however, I now am not getting a pdf file created.

I am using:

Frescobaldi 3.2
Lilypond 2.22.2
Pop OS 22.04

Thanks,

Michael D

Just guessing, but is the old PDF open in a separate viewer? Some viewers
lock the file and Lilypond won't be able to overwrite the old one until the
file is closed in the viewer.

The other possible thing I can think of is saving the input file first,
then compiling it. If you don't save, the PDF file goes to a temporary
location. When you save it, it puts the PDF in the same folder as the input
file.

Hope that helps,
Abraham

Hi;

bar check bug in Lilypond 2.22.2 ??

I must be doing something dumb!

I am not able to find the cause of a bar check warning occurring at
the same bar (#85) in all five parts.

time is 4/4

Workaround was to disable bar checks at bar #85 and beyond.

This works until time is 2/4. Then it starts warning again, with bar
checks still off.

I even had a second pair of eyes (piano player) see if "quarter rest,
dotted quarter eighth and quarter note" fills 4/4 time.

Something weird here.

I have attached the origin pdf, my engraved pdf and the Lilypond source.

Thanks,
Ken Wolcott
