Hi Karel,

Good to hear from you!, thank you for your support again.
It's not late at all for the translation, actually I think it is a bit soon: I'm making some important changes, including some parts of the frequency finding algorithm, and hence I'm still more concerned in stabilising the current solution before polishing the UI. I think I can do it in the following days.

I just tagged a new beta version '0.9.2b7' with some changes in the core, and including your translation. Any feedback about the behaviour is welcome.

- before translating, I've run "make update-po" and things changed quite a lot

- I saw some strings about advanced FFT settings but I cannot find them in the
UI?

Very true, I'm still thinking whether it is convenient to include such advanced settings in the GUI. Anyway, some of those particular settings are obsolete with the new core.

- there is a sentence "This value, in samples (depending on the effective
sample rate), must be greater or equal to the FFT buffer size." - but the value
is in seconds

Actually I'm thinking in removing this parameter from the UI too.

- "The fundamental frequency is shown with a red dot," seems more like a
dashed vertical line than a dot :-)

Same reason: I'm still playing with all of the possibilities (maybe I should have tagged these versions as 'alpha' instead of 'beta').

- it would be nice to have the default scale translatable; to be precise, here
in Czech the tone "B" is called "H" and we prefer lowercase for tone names
(well, " a' " for "mid-A")
... also "Default equal-tempered scale" would look better like "Rovnoměrně
temperované ladění"

- the string "untitled.conf" (when saving configuration) is missing from
translations

- um, is that really necessary to have the buffer sizes - 256 512 1024 2048
4096 - translatable?

Sure, I'll open a ticket for this.

- I've found a typo in lingot-config-dialog.glade:
adjusments => adjustments

Ok, fixed.

- and last one, not connected to translations but to packaging, wouldn't that
be possible to make the default audio system configurable, so that it can be
changed without patching the sources?

I can imagine (not tried in reality yet) that something like this could work:

--- lingot-config.c~    2013-01-29 02:10:08.000000000 +0100
+++ lingot-config.c     2013-02-01 17:41:18.417624288 +0100

 void lingot_config_restore_default_values(LingotConfig* config) {

+#ifdef DEFAULT_AUDIO_SYSTEM
+       config->audio_system = DEFAULT_AUDIO_SYSTEM;

+#elif
        sprintf(config->audio_dev[AUDIO_SYSTEM_OSS], "%s", "/dev/dsp");
        sprintf(config->audio_dev[AUDIO_SYSTEM_ALSA], "%s", "default");
        sprintf(config->audio_dev[AUDIO_SYSTEM_JACK], "%s", "default");

then I would add
"-D DEFAULT_AUDIO_SYSTEM=AUDIO_SYSTEM_PULSEAUDIO"
to CFLAGS to change to Fedora's prefered PA ...?

(well, I'm not a PA advocate, but with ALSA we're hitting bug
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=600751 while it seems to work with
PA ... to be precise, with the new betaversion of 0.9.2 on Fedora 18, I
managed to get it working even with ALSA, but then it goes nuts once I start
messing with the device selection)

Great, another ticket for this then.

Thanks a lot!, let's keep in touch.
Ibán.
