Reference sheet for lout?

A quick reference thingy would be nice.  Perhaps an easier task would
be to include small examples of each kind of document, either as empty
templates or with dummy text to explain usage.  Although the user
guide is very good, it's a little tough to see the overall structure
of a document and the docs in the distribution are way too complex to
serve as a starting point for a beginner.

BTW, has anyone gotten the user guide page with the 'DRAFT' background
to print?  The document crashes at that page on our LaserWriter 630
(it's p72 or 73, I think).
