wishes for next Lout version (documentation)

I have a few wishes for the next Lout expert guide release...

--------------------
1) an appendix or section giving all (or most) Lout error messages,
and common hints to avoid (or correct) them.

--------------------
2) a detailed explaination (in Expert Guide chapter 4) of

   how indexes work
     (and how to add a new index-like feature to dl)

   how tables of contents work
     (and how to add a new table-of-contents-like feature to dl)

   how numbered displays work
     (and how to add a new numbered-display-like feature to dl)
     -numbered displays seems to use galleys within galleys and I
     can't follow exactly what  @BeginNumberedPlace,
     @EndNumberedPlace,  @NextNumberPlace are for.

Perhaps such explanations could be illustrated with
   how to add numbered theorems to Lout dl - each theorem is tagged,
   has a title and a body.
   with a table of theorems (by order of apparence, and with their
   title, page and number)
   with an index of theorems (by alphabetical order of their tag)

I don't want a full theorem feature in dl, but I would like to be able
to add one. I'm trying to, but with pain!

--------------------
3) a list of lout programming clichés (ie code patterns) - with
cross-referencing elsewhere in the Expert guide.

==================================================

I tried to make a toy example with chunks (much like theorems
above). I want them to be numbered by Lout (like
@NumberedDisplay-s). So I hacked the toylayout (see below my
uuencoded gnuzipped try.lt self-contained Lout file). But I couldn't
see numbers on my paper, and I'm still getting a

%  lout try.lt -o try.ps
lout file "try":
   210,1: no @EndChunkPlace precedes this @EndChunkPlace&&preceding
