Which version you are compiling? The last version should work, but you
must compile with the flag MSDOS on. Don't worry, you won't get any DOS
restrictions :))  It regulates the line endings: Unix has LF, OS/2 has
CR&LF.

Emx+gcc compiles it out of the box, and includes HPFS support.
