Basile Starynkevitch asks about what is going to happen to @Filter
in view of the security debate.
I've decided to retain @Filter but to add a command-line flag that
simultaneously disables @Filter and causes Lout to print out all
the system calls that it would have done if @Filter had been enabled.
This way you will be able to run safely first, see what the potential
consequences are, then run again unsafely.
Given that the vast majority of document formatting runs are done
by the authors of the documents, and that @Filter is in use for
such basic applications as formatting C programs and verbatim
text, I think the only reasonable default is to allow @Filter. I
will however amend the documentation and manual entry to make it
very clear what the dangers are.
