This is not a problem with "lines @Break", it is a problem with
how you have separated the verses. Most probably you just have
white space between the verses, and you imagine that this will
give you paragraphs of verses, but in fact white space between
any two objects means to place them side by side on one line -
or if they are large objects they might come out underneath
each other with unexpectedly little space between them.
If this email doesn't set you on the right track, post a small
example of the problem and I'll correct it for you.
