For techmical documentation, I'll agree, but I'm using lout
for a lot of other paperwork, although it may be that lout was not designed
for it, but I find lout such a fine application.
If you have struggled like me in the past with version conflicts of DTP and
Textprozessors, files not opening any more, postscript output, that is
seemingly wrong or so special, that I can hardly get through --- then
aftera admittable steep lerning curve, all this problems are almost gone with
lout: I got reliable, simple and to me first-class postscript code,
(almost) no version conflicts ... it simply works.I will not go into a lengthy 
laudatio of lout, you all know, why you are
using it.george
