Maybe I shouldn't answer as I haven't used lout under Windows for many years,
but AIUI, you use a tool like ttf2pt or FontForge
to convert from TTF to AFM (in the latter, "open" the ttf and "generate" the
corresponding afm). Then add the matching entry to the lout fontdefs.
