[Ltib] Errors in functions and driver errors compiling kernel

Hi to all,

I obtained a complete build installing in my ubuntu the -dev libraries that
wasn't there for all of those that ltib was signaling that the library is
needed (but correctly selected and already present), as suggested Stuart.

Now I find problems - seems in the kernel phase compilation - as in the
attached log file.

Compiling some sources, appear the warning message

mm/bootmem.c: In function 'mark_bootmem':
mm/bootmem.c:420: warning: control reaches end of non-void function

but the compilation follows (I don't used --continue option) and the kernel
compilation shows errors like the following:

drivers/net/lpc_eth.c: In function 'lpc_net_poll_controller':
drivers/net/lpc_eth.c:908: error: 'dev' undeclared (first use in this function)
drivers/net/lpc_eth.c:908: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only
once
drivers/net/lpc_eth.c:908: error: for each function it appears in.)
drivers/net/lpc_eth.c: At top level:
drivers/net/lpc_eth.c:1038: error: unknown field 'poll_controller' specified in
initializer
drivers/net/lpc_eth.c:1038: warning: initialization from incompatible pointer
type
drivers/net/lpc_eth.c:1038: error: expected '}' before ';' token
make[2]: *** [drivers/net/lpc_eth.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [drivers/net] Error 2
make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....

or more unclear generic like this:

  LD drivers/scsi/built-in.o
make: *** [drivers] Error 2
make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
  CC fs/proc/interrupts.o

Then the process stops

RPM build errors:
Bad exit status from /home/enrico/ltib/EA3250/tmp/rpm-tmp.82896 (%build)
Build time for kernel-2.6.34-lpc32xx: 641 seconds

Failed building kernel-2.6.34-lpc32xx

Can be a rpm problem? Must I remove rpm ?

thank you. Enrico
