Not sure of the search order, but I use platform .spec file (and pkg_map) for packages unique to the platform and dust/lfs-5.1/<pkg-name>/ for packages useful to any platform.

I'm developing with a Freescale iMX53 based board and wondering about the correct location of .spec files?

ltib/dist/lfs-5.1/

and

config/platform/imx/

Is the dist directory for modifications/additions to the bsp and the config directory for manaditory components?

Does one take presedence?

What is the search order?

Is there different usage for .spec and .spec.in files?

Thanks, John
