Since I have stuck my head above the parapet :-) I did want to raise the
issue of all the other "small" things that need to be done to improve
the BSD compatibility of lwIP.
For example inet_ntop/pton (can easily be implemented as macro wrappers
to *_ntoa_r/aton), definition of sa_family_t, manifests like
INET6_ADDRSTRLEN, provision of "struct sockaddr_storage", etc.
I have local implementations at the moment (just hacked into
"lwipopts.h" for my builds) but at some point I should generate proper
implementations in the main lwIP tree (rather than my target support)
and provide a patch. Is there interest in this in the short term?
Cheers,
