Follow-up Comment #1, patch #8358 (project lwip):

While opengroup (not being very specific) says:

"should allow reuse of local addresses"

the linux man page says:

"When the listening socket is bound to INADDR_ANY with a specific port then it
is not possible to bind to this port for any local address."

So this change would at least allow something linux doesn't allow. And as I
read it, it would break IPv4, wouldn't it?

Why do you think this feature is required?
