Follow-up Comment #3, patch #9207 (project lwip):

Attached is a slightly better version of the
0007-ip6-improve-source-address-selection patch. By using preexisting
multicast scopes, the patch no longer needs to add its own 'enum' block or
test against specific multicast types explicitly. As a result, this new
version is slightly cleaner and ever-so-slightly faster, while behaving
exactly the same as the previous version of the patch. This update does not
affect any of the other patches.

As an aside, I have now also tested the source selection algorithm in this
patch against a large number of test cases, including all the applicable
examples that are included in RFC 6724. These tests turned up no bugs.
