Follow-up Comment #7, bug #44805 (project lwip):

Should this maybe be moved to a patch report from a bug report (/w feature
request)?

I plan on maintaining the sendmsg patch.  Maybe it would be more useful to
others as a patch report (maybe people look at the open patches to see if
there are any extra features, but probably not at open bugs?)
