Where did you see that? I had a quick look at the code but don't see anything. Especially in opt.h, the comment just says "Enable SO_REUSEADDR option.", nothing about "don't use" (btw, the option is called SO_REUSE, not SO_REUSEADDR).I looked at the code and saw "don't use note"
