Or it’s simply a problem with your (OP’s) PC. I’ve used wireshark since it was Ethereal and never had a crash. Bill From: address@hidden [mailto:address@hidden On Behalf Of Radouch, Zdenek Ø Wireshark does not work - it crashes on capturing. This is for sure a Windows-problem… I seriously doubt it. I don’t use Windows, but I use Wireshark all the time and the versions that came with the last couple Ubuntu Linux releases crash all the time, in quite random ways. I have been able to avoid the crashes by building Wireshark myself, from the latest sources. I don’t know if you can build open source tools like Wireshark yourself (since WIndows don’t come with compilers), but I would definitely recommend trying the latest possible version of Wireshark since some of the [older] versions can be quite unstable. Cheers, -Z From: address@hidden [mailto:address@hidden] On Behalf Of Karl Karpfen 2014-12-08 19:47 GMT+01:00 address@hidden <address@hidden>: As it's always better to know than to guess, why don't you check wih wireshark? Simply because Wireshark does not work - it crashes on capturing. This is for sure a Windows-problem but it keeps me away from analysing this. But connection problems I described does not seem to have the same reason like this crash, I could do a (very quick) test on a different Windows PC, there I could observe the same. |
