Both 2.1.2 and the master branch should be pretty stable. I planned to
do a release based on master before I found bug #57706 (ACD is not
stopped). Unfortunately, that was "just before" the Corona thing started
and this ongoing situation has lead to even less time for lwIP.

So unless you're using ACD, I'd suggest to use master. But even with
2.1.2, you should be pretty safe.
