Hi Mike,

I just checked the version . Thanks for pointing it out. Let me elaborate the issue I am facing now.

 I have an application which open with sudo access. This application now open the firefox with normal user. I use the below command to open firefox using normal user. To replicate it.

1. Open the terminal and do sudo -s .

2. Once you are interested root you can open your html file containing textarea to type. I use the below command for that

sudo -H -E -u username firefox abc.html

abc.html should have textarea tag.

After that if you change the language to KaGaPa Phonetic it will work properly but inscript which came along with m17db doesn't work. I am not sure why but the same scenario is working properly in Ubuntu 16.04 

This is happening in Ubuntu 22.04 system. Hope you can also replicate the issue at your end.

No, ibus-m1n-1.5.26 does not exist. The latest version is
ibus-m17n-1.4.27.

You are confusing this with the version of ibus, you are currently using
ibus-1.5.26 in Ubuntu 22.
