Summary:  Commit has problems with certain caracters in filenames

Original Submission:  Hi there!

Using commit on a file named like 
"airplane!.(1980).cthragsardius.sharereactor.avi" is not working! It says 
"Error in rename" in the log.

I think it would be good, if any offending characters are replaced by an 
underscore.
