If I were you, I would fsck my filesystem more regularly...
but yes, mldonkey uses a lot of network ressources.

Summary:  mailbox corrupted by chunks of files.ini

Original Submission:  OSX 10.2.1
Mail as mail program
Web interface for ml-donkey 2.00

The incoming mailboxes were corrupted (resulting in loss of unique data). I 
found chunks of files.ini in the middle of the corresponding files. 

More generally, I find that internet activity while mldonkey is running results 
after some time (hours) in a malfunctioning system that I have to reboot (which 
I never have to do normally, 10.2 being very stable).

Sorry I did not keep the file and do not wish to retry.

Looks like a system malfunction, not a mldonkey bug...
