Summary: cannot import temp files from previous version

Original Submission: The older version is 2.02-0. The new is 2.04 shared i586
tar. I'm trying to use the import_temp command. I have never tried it with
older versions, since i didn't know it exists, so i used to just copy the temp
files and configs. Now i can't do it, cause i have over 44gigs of files
downloading, to a 10.7gig partition of which 1.6gigs is used by other stuff and
1.2 gigs is free. now, i have another drive where i would like to move the
temps and run the mldonkey from. it's a 40 gig drive, which is sliced into
smaller partitions. obviously i can't just copy the 44 gigs of stuff to that
drive. So i tried using the import_temp "/old_mldonkey_directory/temp"
with and without quotes, with and without the /temp and the end /. The mldonkey
says:
Eval command: import_temp "/mnt/mdk90_2/jk/mldonkey-distrib-2.02-0/temp/"

temp files loaded

but nothing has changed and nothing happends.
obviously the mldonkey has overlapped the temp files, which, as i said, makes
it impossible to copy the files. Does mldonkey have to reserve the amount of
space as the files are?
Also the import command does nothing.
System: Mandrake 9.1 on athlon 1.33Ghz 256MB mem
