Summary:  >2.4 core and gui require glibc-2.3

Original Submission:  Running the binary shared core and gui is not possible on 
many distros since mldonkey >2.4 is compiled against glibc-2.3.  Debain stable 
and less than 1 year old versions of most other distros are all using 
glibc-2.2.  The static core runs, but the gui is unusable.  The Changelog and 
webpage say nothing about a changing glibc requirement.

This patch report is very old. If the bug still exists in current

It may be a requirement of a compiled version, but not of the sources.

Compile mldonkey yourself, or find another version compiled against your libs.
