The number of clients never decreases.

The output of clean_tables list is a list of thousands of clients.  The # never 
decreases... 

Dead clients used to be purged every half hour. Bug? Something different?

This is the infamous memory leak that makes mldonkey grow to hundreds of megs. 
It's fixed by the recent patch on savannah, #3086.
