Hello A. Aniruddha,
have a look to log.c and monit.h.
You will find the _log function and the define TIMEFORMAT macro.
But I never changed the log behaviour.

But I never changed the log behaviour.
On the other hand, vsyslog is used also, but I never replaced a function.
