ChangeLog: 

* Automate: reorganize things a bit, it should be correct now.

* Automate: add a submit_sync function that sends a command to mtn and
  then works the main loop until the reply comes back

* Database: use mtn automate for the "fetch_branches" operation, to
  test it a bit.
