ChangeLog: 

 * Don't use a template for different pools, but instead use universal
   task objects and a single, non-templated pool of worker threads, which
   can then process different tasks.
 * Moved the worker_pool class implementation into unix/threads.cc.
 * Adjusted all places using these worker_pools.
