Hey all,
The Monotone Netsync Ethereal dissector is checked in SVN, so it will
show up in the next release of Ethereal.
Before that release i would like to get some feedback on it (hopefully
someone will take the time to checkout Ethereal and build it),
especially simple things like the naming of the protocol fields and of
course possible decoding errors.
If you try it and find an error, please send me the capture file so I
can debug the exact error.
There are still things to do like checking the checksums.
- Erwin
PS: When Ethereal tells you there are TCP Checksum errors, on the
outgoing traffic it is likely because there are no checksums calculated
on loopback traffic, or you have a NIC that does checksum offloading. To
fix the problem disable TCP checksum checking in the Preferences of TCP.
You will also have to enable TCP desegmentation for subdissectors.
