Oh, BTW, maybe I should mention that I was able to --in a sense-- import
the PostgreSQL repository.  I know that the cause of this bug seems to
be certain conditions on deleted files (files that are deleted on a
branch and then deleted on HEAD, or something similar, apparently).
So what I did was simply to delete the contents of the Attic directories
in the CVSROOT before importing.  With that change, it worked like a
charm.

This repository of mine doesn't tell the whole story, of course; but I
don't mind losing this bit in exchange of being able to getting used to
Monotone while it develops enough to be able to import the whole thing.

Hopefully I'll be able to use it to track my own development to be
submitted as patches for the main CVS repository ... with luck,
eventually we can have the whole thing migrated away from CVS, and I
guess pgsql-core will choose whatever SCM the community has the most
expertise with :-)
