OK, that fails in more complex situations.

I attach a patch with a test (the test fails with the trunk, but
succeeds with the change to diff_patch.cc) which seems to work, but it
seems ugly.  It's not obviously right, anyway.

But the test surely ought to succeed, so perhaps that'll be enough for
someone who understands the current code to fix the problem more
elegantly?
