[Monotone-devel] running autoconf from makefile

INSTALL says autoconf should be run as "autorecconf -i", but the top level
makefile just runs "autoconf", which doesn't do enough after some
updates. So then the build fails mysteriously later, and eventually I
remember to do 'autoreconf -i' and start over.

This appears to be a bug in automake; it defines the value for
@address@hidden

Is there any way we can fix this?
