If we can't build .stripped with what's currently in debian unstable,
I'd say we need to relax our requirements.
However, on an unstable-only system I've got libbotan1.6 (version
1.6.5-3) and libbotan1.8 (version 1.8.0-1) and no 1.7 anything.
(packages.debian.org leads me to believe that libbotan1.7 is in
testing but will be replaced by libbotan1.8 in the near future.) I'd
have no objection to requiring 1.8.0 or greater.
