Applied with a few minor tweaks and working fine so far.  Thank you. 
(Your comment about using [MAIN_VISIBLE / 2] instead of hardcoding 6
sounded like a good idea, so it's done, and the "extra" variables aren't
strictly needed to store the extra width, so the direct values are now
used.)
