This patch isn't about a matter of taste, such as choice of color.
It's about what should/shouldn't be colored. Elements in general are a
distinct part of the HTML syntax, so it's uncontroversial that they
should be colored. The same thing can't be said for <b>, <i>, and <u>.
No justification for their special coloring was given in the original
commit [1] or in this thread. I've justified this patch, and no
criticism of my justification was given in this thread.

Here's what the elements represent:
