More developments. I've put together a control box component. For the
moment it only uses sliders, but it respects the min/max values and
default values of the parameters. I will soon add support for enumerated
option boxes (like selecting a filter type) and more feedback. I am also 
going to see if I can get GtkHScale to display values in hex :-)
