Follow-up Comment #2, bug #31695 (project octave):
Maybe programs installed with Octave should be called with an explicit path
when implicitely called by Octave. (The mkoctfile shellscript is already
called so by mkoctfile.m).
If programs, installed with Octave or not, are called without explicit path,
I would expect that the users PATH is unchanged.
I would leave the decision to you whether to move this topic to the
maintainers list.
