Follow-up Comment #1, bug #32137 (project octave): I just found the following fact: My ~/.octaverc file currently contains: backend("fltk"); =================== With this .octaverc a help command as the first command hangs. I changed this to: backend("fltk"); clear ans =================== and the help command no longer hangs. Also, the hang seems to be only for help whos. help strcmp and help logm did not hang. The mystery continues. Can anyone reproduce this?
