I hope you are not suggesting that you are blind to Quint.

Furthermore, note that Octave's debugger reads more than just text, but it
also reads keystrokes e.g. C-z for stopping execution. Would you play nethack
or use less(1) over a pipe? It's meant to be interactive in a way that a pipe
can't be.
