Thanks for all the testing.  There has been some discussion on the maintainers
list and as a result there is going to be an attempt to make a quick 3.4.2
point release which targets a few specific issues.  This bug has been included
in the list of ones which *must* be fixed before the 3.4.2 release so I have
increased the priority.

Kai, could you do a 'make clean' in the src directory and then 'make all' and
capture the output in a log for attachment to this bug report?

I looked at the linking command you inserted in the bug report and it looks
basically the same as my command on Linux so I'll need the entire output.
