Follow-up Comment #1, bug #34198 (project octave):
My comment that the figures with units of inches and centimeters were not
visible wasn't correct. They were shrunk to a small size in the upper left of
my screen. A screen shot is attached.
Apparently the FLTK backend is ignoring the figure's units and taking the
value of the figure's position property to be pixels.
