Details:

You can run PATH command and try to run CLOSE command after it:

octave-3.2.4.exe:4> close
octave-3.2.4.exe:5> close
octave-3.2.4.exe:6> close
octave-3.2.4.exe:7> path ('C:\MyDock1\octave\ex')
octave-3.2.4.exe:8> close
error: `close' undefined near line 8 column 1
octave-3.2.4.exe:8>
