Follow-up Comment #11, bug #36732 (project octave):

I don't have an objection to repeated x-values.

When there are two identical x-values, I assume the first corresponds to
values below and the second to values above?

Shall a warning be given in such cases?

What is to be done when there are more than two identical values?
