Follow-up Comment #1, bug #38461 (project octave):
Is the problem with display on the monitor or with printing? The actual
OpenGL plot looks reasonably fine. The printed version of the plot looks
cramped.
Also, to accentuate the problem, try characters with descenders such as 'g'
and 'y'.
