Follow-up Comment #3, bug #39955 (project octave):
Unreproducible here as well.
Please do the following to see if the crash occurs when you only run Octave,
without qtoctave and without any Octave packages loaded:
Open a terminal and run
$ octave -qf
octave:1> z = dblquad (@(x, y) sin (pi*x.*y) .* sqrt (x.*y), 0, 1, 0, 1)
z = 0.30022
