The following link can be used to get the latest tarball I think:

http://hydra.nixos.org/job/gnu/octave-default/tarball/latest/download/1/octave-4.1.0+.tar.gz

This is new to me and looks like a really nice feature of hydra that we might
want to publicize somewhere on the web site or the wiki.

I'll leave this report open until we decide if we want to make a link to this
tarball available on the web site.
