Follow-up Comment #18, bug #37062 (project octave):

This is an easy request.  I think a valid question is how these icons should
be presented.  Maybe Mike, or someone else, can comment on haw a packager like
Debian would like to see them.

If I go to /usr/share/icons and pick an icon theme directory I find the
following subdirectories


8x8
16x16
22x22
32x32
64x64
128x128
256x256
512x512
scalable


The smallest category (8x8) is only used for emblems.  All the other sizes
have application icons.  So it would seem worthwhile to create the Octave logo
in sizes 16-512 and move the svg icon into a scalable directory.  Do we need
to provide the icon in both png and ico formats or can Windows machines now
use png?
