Works in Octave 3.6 and Matlab(R2010b):
fill([0 1 1 0],[0 0 1 0],[0.1 0.3 0.5])

Works in Octave 3.6 and Octave 3.8:
fill([0 1 1 0],[0 0 1 0],[0.1 0.3 0.5].')
